Angus has been looking for a board sponsor for a while now so when the opportunity arose he took it without question.

“Being offered a full deal with The Snowboard Asylum is probably the biggest thing that has happened in the past decade career wise, it’s a dream come true to be riding for one of the most well know shops in Europe if not the World.”

Angus’ plans for this season are to stay at school and work on is Highers whilst riding at home on Cairngorm Mountain. In February he will be attending a training camp in Flachauwinkle, Austria with other members of the GB Junior Elite Team and TSA Team members.

“Hopefully this trip to Austria to ride the longest park in Europe will help me progress my riding to the next level and to see where I stand in terms of my future career”

Double Backflip First Attempt

Had an awesome day yesterday in Val Thorens! Gave a double backflip a go for the first time! 1st try under rotated and then 2nd over rotated, unfortunately the light was super flat and I didn’t get the chance to try it again. Stoked that it’s out of the way, got it in my head, so next time it’s on!

Val Thorens

Had an amazing day yesterday in the VT park! Took us a wee while to get there but was totally worth it! The kicker line there is so sick! 3 good size kickers and a sick rail set-up at the bottom!

Great to see the park crew out building and shaping as well! There is an awesome scene too with loads of kids shredding and freestyle coaching.

Was stoked to find out there is a slopestyle competition there next weekend so defibitely going to get involved with that!

Piecing together a run already, got bs 7 into double front and also a couple of underflips and bs 12s. Looking forward to heading back there tomorrow and getting some tricks for the comp.

Bluebird Again!

Recently we have been super lucky with the weather! A good three bluebird days in a row, which gave us the chance to get some sick footage! Been riding switch a lot and the family park in Courchevel is excellent for learning new switch spins and tricks. It’s great to be able to go through all the different flips, directions of spinning and experimenting with grabs. I have found it really useful and with Hoff planned for two weeks it will be awesome to put these new tricks down on the pro-line! We are heading over a week tomorrow, train from Geneva and then staying cheap in Gasthof. Looking forward to some more riding tomorrow! Hopefully work more on some lines in the park! Stay tuned!

Exploring

Today we made the journey over to Meribel and Val Thorens! It was great to explore the resorts and we got an awesome session in the DC Park in Mottaret. The kicker looks nice over there, steep and lofty…although with the wind we decided to give it a miss, wax the boards and get over there early doors tomorrow. As the wind picked up we returned to the Family Park back in Courch.

Second lap in, Lewis got taken out on the piste! Turned to hear a shout and Lewis was on the deck with some guys board straight into his leg! He had a massive chunk out of his shin and is heading an hour down the valley to the hospital. So gutted for him! Especially as BEO is coming up soon. Fingers-crossed all is okay and he is back on his board soon.

We finished the day with some kicker laps and I was stoked to get Fs under 7 and a load of cab under 5s. Planning on some new tricks tomorrow in DC! Watch this space!

Courchevel so far!

Having such a sick time out here in Courch! Drop Inn is amazing, staff are great and the food is top dollar!

Looking forward to getting some airtime in the DC Park tomorrow! Got some new tricks planned so will let you
