Strength & Conditioning with Lesley and Greg! –

For a while now I have been training in the gym in Grantown while at school but for the past few weeks Gregor and I have been training with Lesley McKenna to improve our strength and power before the start of the season. Once a week we train through Snowsport Scotland in the Glenmore Lodge using the gym facilities available there. This will continue until the season begins so that our overall power will improve and hopefully our ability during snowboarding. Here are a some pics from today’s session, check it out:

QUIKSILVER UK TEAM UPDATE: NEW SIGNINGS AND SUMMER SHREDDING

Summer doesn’t neccessarily mean no snow. The Quiksilver UK snow team have been busy shredding the European glaciers and indoor snowdomes around the UK; Henry Shackleton, Ollie Jackson and James Stentiford. New names for the team, Jamie Trinder and Fin Bremner have also been using their summer to shred- check out Jamie’s recent trip to Les Deux Alpes and this past weekends shred at his local Sno!Zone:

The 16 year old Scot has been on the UK circuit for a few years now and is part of the GB junior team. Quiksilver is pleased to name him as part of the UK snow team:

“Can’t wait for next season to start and get riding with the team! Thanks to Lesley McKenna, James and the whole Quiksilver crew for making this happen!” Jamie.

For now you can check out Jamie’s blog: http://thetrinders.com/

Not only new name Jamie, but Quiksilver have snapped up another new rider (and another Scot), 11 year old Fin Bremner. Snowboarding since the tender age of 9, he has few years already on the Scottish circuit and this past season has been making his name on the British scene. Check out his winter 10/11 edit:

‘I am totally stoked to be included in the Quiksilver team. Ive met some rad people so far and I cant wait to get shreddin with the Quiksilver crew.I’d also like to thank everyone who has supported me especially Nicol Paton and Ben Kinnear. Bring on the winter.’ Fin
